Online devices

Canadians spend 44% of online time on mobile devices, tablets accounting for 12% of the time. Tablets & phones combined only accounted for 14% of online time in 2010.

High speed internet services

Government of Canada to invest $305 million to extend & enhance high-speed internet services to reach 98% of Canadians.

Shopping Apps

64% of Canadians have downloaded at least one shopping app.

The End of Windows XP

45% of PCs and over 95% of ATM worldwide still use Windows XP as Microsoft retired the operating system this month.

Technology and job location

90% of Canadians want technologies that will help them perform their job from any location. 84% of Canadians polled see location as a barrier from securing the best job, with 88% believing that technology should help people avoid the need to relocate for work.

Digital technologies

84% view the adoption of digital technologies as a strategic investment rather than something to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. 83% have mobility in their top 5 priorities. Only 35% have the right talent and skill to properly plan and execute their mobility initiatives.
