Reduce the risk of entering a new market. Canadian companies looking to pursue business opportunities around the world can offset the cost of travel and workspace through the CDMN Soft Landing program. Applications are open Jan. 29 to Feb. 12, 2016. Travel must occur between March 1 and June 15. Companies landing at a co-working space, accelerator or incubator will also have the costs associated with workspace covered for up to three months.

Revenue-generating Canadian technology startups and SMEs looking to grow their customer bases, open satellite offices, develop distribution channels or partnerships or secure investment abroad are strong candidates for this program. Soft landings are not intended to support travel for events, conferences, trade shows or trade missions. In 2015 alone, the CDMN Soft Landing program helped 107 companies land in 21 markets around the world.
