Calgary, October 20, 2014 – Energy and technology leaders will gather at the Canada 3.0 conference in Calgary Oct. 28-30 to discuss how their industries can benefit from greater collaboration.
This edition of Canada 3.0, the 6th annual such event, will be held at Calgary’s BMO Centre in partnership with the Canadian Energy Supply Chain Forum, and focus on building the technology supply chain for the energy industry.
“We’re pleased to bring Canada 3.0 to Western Canada for the first time,” said Avvey Peters, Managing Director of the Canadian Digital Media Network. “By hosting the conference within the Canadian Energy Supply Chain Forum, we have a rare opportunity to bring together key players from both the energy and technology sectors for a real dialogue on increasing collaboration.”
Keynote speakers include Dawn Farrell, President and CEO of TransAlta; Suzanne West, President and CEO of Imaginea Energy and Tom Jenkins, Chairman of OpenText. With case studies on successful collaborations, new ideas from outside the industry and emerging technologies on display, Canada 3.0 will highlight the many ways the technology and energy sectors can engage one another to drive innovation. The full schedule is available at www.canada30.ca.
“The energy sector continues to drive the Canadian economy; however, there are challenges including the need to increase productivity, improve environmental performance and ensure a stable workforce into the future,” said Robert Tasker, President and CEO of TRTech. “Solutions to many of these challenges lie at the intersection of the technology and energy industries, which represents an under-developed piece of the energy supply chain.”
Canada 3.0 is presented by the Canadian Digital Media Network, TRTech and the JuneWarren-Nickle’s Energy Group, and is featured as part of the Canadian Energy Supply Chain Forum. More details and registration are available at www.canada30.ca or www.supplychainforum.ca.
